As part of our continuing momentum towards semi retirement, we have moved to Georgia.
Bob was born in Athens, Georgia and we have found a beautiful home and very nice barn for our remaining Arabians. It is located in Arnoldsville, Georgia, just east of Athens.
While neither of us welcomed a move due to the stress, and additional hard work, we look forward to the ability to see out families more often than we have been able to in the past.
As it looks now, we may be further from any retirement, semi or otherwise, than either of us had thought. We have decided to bring to market our long time ownership of the domain, www.straightegyptianarabians.com. It is growing into an internet marketing entity that is far exceeding our expectations at this point. From that platform we are offering many solutions for owners of straight Egyptian Arabians. If you have not seen it, please visit it soon. www.straightegyptianarabians.com.
In any event, come visit, we would love for you to come see us in Arnoldsville!
*Shahir’s book will be closing in 2009!
As *Shahir’s
breeding career continues to evolve, we have made the decision to close
his book to the United States effective 2009. We will be offering a limited
number of approved breedings, at Private Treaty, to straight Egyptian and
purebred Arabian mares. If you have an interest in breeding your best mares
to *Shahir, please contact us with your mare’s pedigree, photos and
breeding history.
For the 2008 breeding season, *Shahir will continue to
stand at Day Dream Arabians, to approved straight Egyptian and purebred
Arabian mares. *Shahir’s 2008 stud fee is $3,500 with a 10% discount
if paid in full at time of booking.
2008 Breeding Year
The 2006 and 2007 breeding seasons were our busiest ever.
As you may have read elsewhere in this web site, *Shahir's book is closing earlier and earlier each year. We have imposed limit on him for each breeding season.
His 2008 book has very few openings to approved mares.
If you would like to have your mare considered, please give us a call.
Gatsby CC a winner in Europe
Gatsby CC, a young stallion sired by *Shahir made a name for himself here in the U.S. before he was exported earlier this year. His show record here in the U.S. included the 2004 - 2005 Egyptian Event World Class Reserve Champion as well as the 2001 Egyptian Event Junior Champion at the U.S. Egyptian Event.
At the 2006 European Egyptian Event Gatsby garnered the Reserve Champion Senior Stallion honors and the 2006 Egyptian Classic Cup Senior Champion Stallion.
Congratulations to his new owner Sheikh Mohammed Saud Al Qasimi, owner of Albidayer Stud.
Gatsby was also listed in the Arabian Horse Times research as a Leading Juvenile Sire of all bloodlines for 2006.
Diversification of Bloodstock
We have been very successful over the years breeding very high quality straight Egyptian Arabians. Over the past year, as part of our seminars, we have been teaching the principles of diversification into other than straight Egyptians.
We have followed what we teach in buying only the highest quality in purchasing two Fame VF daughters. One of whom has given us an extremely nice *Marwan Al Shaqab son, Mezmarize born in June 2005. Marwan is a wonderful stallion who was the 2002 World Champion Jr Colt, a unanimous U.S. National Champion Jr. Stallion in 2003 and repeated again as a unanimous 2005 U.S. National Champion Jr. Stallion. He is awesome! For more on Marwan, click this link below:
His dam just had a colt sired by Marwan's sire *Gazal Al Shaqab a 2001 World Champion Sr Stallion, 2005 Scottsdale Reserve Champion Stallion, 2005 U.S. Nationals Reserve Champion Stallion. This colt, is a 3/4 sibling to *Marwan Al Shaqab. To say we are excited about this venture into the very best in the Polish World is an understatement.
We continue on our quest to breed a reputation for quality!
